Pearlberry/Monticap LIST!!! Taking aggression out of reefing.

A beautiful Pearlberry Acro was growing nicely in the hole just under the Orange Monticap pictured below. Not knowing who would come out victorious when the fighting began, I waited. Thinking the acro would “kick polyp”. Montiporas tend to be less confrontational than acros. Needless to say the acro started to show signs of damage so I took it out and moved it safely.
Coral placement for reasons like this are important and of great interest to me. I think it would be beneficial to create a list of corals, by name that engaged in warfare and who if either came out unharmed, damaged or dead.

1. Pearlberry Acro vs Montipora Capricornus. Acro was damaged.

Great photo. Do you run constant carbon/water changes etc. to keep your tank flourishing as photo appears?

Yes I run carbon and do regular water changes. I also have some softies, so try to keep the chemical warfare contained.

I had a Green Slimer about a decade ago. Did great!

Softies don’t seem to show the damage that sps do. Yet softie toxins occupy every corner of our tanks when these corals are agitated.
