If I'm not mistaken, those are just moon lights in the corners anyway. Not needed in an office.
Yea they really don’t do much. It’s cool to look at in the evenings, but they are so weak I have to basically make the house pitch black to see the corals fluoresce. I’ll get some decent pics though!

Moral of the story: don’t stress about those lights! They aren’t cheap to replace either

What I worry about is great building up in the tank with the wires fried and no fans
That’s interesting that your fans come on with the LEDs. I wonder if that was a mod, and why it fried the power source? Mine come on with the main light, the other little power source is only for the moon lights. The little fans aren’t enough though...I had to hang a fan on the wall!

Most likely. Since it will be a open top I'm hoping with heat issues. Evaporation will be an issue. Ato will be important with this tank.

I’ve got a 5g bucket in the stand, just drilled a hole in the lid to put the tube through. It lasts a long time, I don’t have to fill it up very often. Got the ATO from my LFS, they even helped with the tube! Cut it to size and used a heat gun to shrink it to the pump.

it uses electronic sensors, which makes me nervous, But has worked perfectly for about 9 months now so I can’t complain.
