Just giving an update to what I’ve been working on !!! A buddy of mine gave me an ATS did a lot of adjustments. Made it a hang over the side on the sump. Shy on space LoL. Currently just running hose water out in garage-to figure out how my flows are going to work out and make sure I like the way the water is flowing through the sump. Currently pushing 1000 gph turn around on a 75 gallon tank full seems a bit low flow by eye. Does anyone have any thoughts? I don’t want to overrun the overflow. On tank. Then the age-old question Refug or ATS or both. Now is my time to plan/mod for later. Also, the sump tank is a retired 29 gallon tank with four chambers DYI. Planning on one chamber for the refuge, 12x12x8” roughly. The plan for the tank is mixed LPS/SPS maybe an anemone if I get lucky and a few nice fish and if I can find invertebrates it won’t eat everything …..Kind of going back with the old-school vibe with new kicker to get a good spread on the lighting a couple 48” T8HO and most likely 2 AI’s in between. 16” above. Did a screen shot from BRS review on lighting. If you’ve made it this far, I appreciate your read and feel free to send me message. Post ect. I’m open to the good bad and the ugly. Thank you everyone

3 to 5 times the turn over through the sump is all thats generally recommended. I only run roughly around 550GPH in my 80G cube. Flow is created by powerheads, not your returns.
