Overflows

So im getting a hob overflow and its probably gonna be the seapora 56098. When it says the bulkhead is 1 inch, does that mean i would need a 1 inch sized vinyl /silicone tubing? Im going with vinyl or silicone because i heard it was easier and for now im trying to be simple.

Yes. 1 inch.
Most bulkheads come plain so you'll have to glue in a piece of 1 inch pvc and a fitting for your vinyl tubing. Mostly.
I've never used this box so you'll have to check it when it comes.
Eshopps comes plain while Jeff at lifereef will put a fitting on it for you.
Check when you get it and if you need help come on back here!

Hey so what do you mean when i need to glue fittings and put on a pvc first? What does that mean, or rather what should i buy. I have brs and thats where im looking. Also for a dc pump can i simply just put another vinyl tubing on it?

You'll have to see how the box comes set up. I'll get you a picture. Return pump has nothing to do with the overflow.
I'll try to look it up for you.

This is an old eshopps overflow box.
I glued the PVC attachment to the bulkhead to receive a screw on vinyl tubing fitting.

Depend if the 1" is inner or outer diameter. I recommend taking the bulkhead with you to confirm fit

I found that box on Amazon.
So that box is for large tanks-200 gallon and will need fittings attached.

Eshopps also sells flexible hose, 1 inch that fits right in to the bulkhead if you want flexible tubing as well.
But as mentioned maybe wait till it comes, travel to hardware store and confirm.
