I am curious what should be expected when purchasing livestock online. I ordered a couple fish and corals online and its my first time ordering and shipping anything live. I ordered from a store in British Columbia, about ten hours away from me in Alberta. I did my research on this store and it seems pretty legit. And it was the only store in what seemed to be the entire country to have the fish I wanted in stock. After placing my order, they told me they would ship it Wednesday so it would arrive Thursday and they'd email me a tracking number. Thursday comes and on their order page my shipment goes from"Unfulfilled" to "Fullfilled". They never do email me a tracking number. But I wait, and wait... until I couldn't wait any longer and gave them a call. I spoke to guy saying they shipped with purolator and there was no traking number. He assured me it would arrive "today" as in Thursday. It is now Friday and no package. I have not called the store again because I don't want to seem rude and impatient (I totally am impatient and worried). I'm also hoping I didn't send hundreds of dollars to a store that doesn't actually exsist. I don't really want to name names until I fully satisfied that these people really and truly ripped me off. Fow now, all I need to know is that this is normal when shipping fish, and that I just need to be more patient. And that the fish and corals will be okay.
