Have a Waterbox 110 which is 80 gallons - 47” wide - I’m looking to get something for algae control, either a one spotted foxface or a tang of some sort.

Do you think this tank is too small for a OSF? Should I be looking into a Tomini tang or Kole instead? I would love to hear people’s opinion who have experience of one spotted foxface!

I've got a one spot QT'ing for December introduction to my new 83gal (48"x20"x20"). I understand bristletooths are more into film algae, but I have no experience with tangs...
Nice! Ya I love the look of them. There’s a LFS nearby that has one in QT which I’ve been keeping my eye on haha. All of the recommended tank sizes I have found online are all over the place.

Personally if you would be happy with a tomini or Kole tang I would go that way. There is no question the tank would be big enough for those. My Tomini never stops picking at my rocks, but they are all different!

If you truly want a foxface, though, it is probably in that gray area of people thinking the tank is too small or thinking it will be fine. It would depend on its ultimate size, but you may have to do one of those rehoming things in the future.

I have a one spot in a 4ft 120g and regret doing it. He paces the glass and just looks too big for the tank.

If you can get a small one you should have 4 years before it's really going to be to big.

I've recently introduced a 2½ inch specimen to my display tank.
