So I was search for my clarifying packets to which I didn’t find! I did however find a beer can in my sand! YES A BEER CAN! Imagine if I didn’t catch this and it went into my aquarium! And no clarifying packets in either bag.

Wait seriously? This isn’t Ocean Direct? Quality control is seriously lacking. I’m reaching out to them.Ya there is all sorts of **** in live sand. Probably not much of anything live but you can find plenty of trash in it sometimes.
I never have that problem with the dry stuff.
I would write the manufacturer and let them know the can was opened !!So I was search for my clarifying packets to which I didn’t find! I did however find a beer can in my sand! YES A BEER CAN! So this is normal okay that’s sad. Meanwhile I’m thinking someone in a third world country is drinking on the job and threw it in my bag haha.I would write the manufacturer and let them know the can was opened !!
Putting jokes to the side, this proves you are getting live sand. I have seen cigarette butts and driftwood and have heard of pencil, cond*m*, bottle necks and even a key
I understand that I just thought it was man-made/aquacultured sand.it’s bagged… it gets on trucks in the heat and cold and sits on a shelf for some time…
It’s not fresh sand or anything.
Out oceans are polluted and dirty.
Has this been brought to their attention? Why is this a normal thing?I've found plastic forks before

Hahaha. Like me contacting them is going to change anything. Complete waste of thinkingHas this been brought to their attention? Why is this a normal thing?
Well that’s just poor quality control and stupid on their part! Now I wonder what I put in my other aquariums since I love CaribSea but wow. They don’t sieve it I guess?
Live rock is a lot better anyways and will easily seed any sand chosen with everything needed
Moral of this thread....
Clean up after yourself after a day at the beach
.
Regardless of how it got in the bag. It has no business there and it’s disappointing to see.seriously… people can be such slobs…
