Tried my hand at saltwater aquariums years ago. Several moves I stepped away but here several years later ended up back in this beautiful hobby. A lot of trial and error and never too much to learn or too much advice that can be taken from others more experienced! I used to have a dream of becoming a marine biologist but I had children instead, one of which who has the same dream and has taken a serious interest the hobby since bringing it back in the home! Maybe one day her and I can live that dream together or the next best thing learn to teach others about it. All ears here for suggestions and criticism!

Welcome! It looks like you have the right things going on. I can see some of the old school in your build but also curious that you decided to start with Dry rock..
It actually was live rock that I did an acid dip, then bleach cured. It had a lot of pest

I thought starting from sterile rock was better than starting with rock full of pests. Rocks are going 6 month cycle with the tank and still look clean and white. Not sure if that’s good or pure luck
