Just curious. What is everybody doing on this fine evening? When I was a teen, I would have been making toast, gathering rice, finding my squirt gun, stealing a newspaper from Dad and heading off to see the midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show with a bunch of friends (and my sister and her friends).

Tonight tho? I'm much older. Ordering out Pizza and watching either Bones, Warehouse 13 or Evil. Nothing too rambunctious!

What about y'all?

I'm sitting on my back patio drinking an ice cold beverage while watching the satellites and reading reef2reef. Contemplating taking a dip in the hot tub. Is this what midlife is all about?

Worked until 630. Came home and mowed the lawn, finally dry enough. Started up the RODI for water changes this weekend. About to eat corn dogs while browsing R2R. Living like royalty basically.

Im 46 years old with a 5 year old. My Saturday nights consist of putting my child to bed and then finding a movie to watch on netflix or Amazon prime until I fall asleep on my couch. If one of my favorite bands comes to a city near me, I will go see them in NYC, Philly, or Asbury Park. That's about as exciting as my nightlife gets.

I remember the days of getting ready to go out to a party or bar by 9 pm, chasing girls, and staying up until dawn. Man I miss being a lad.

Having a reef again is also a way that I spend some nights. Just sit in front of it with a drink and enjoy.

I know, right? EVERY night was an adventure! My last concert was (DON'T JUDGE!) Taylor Swift. Now, I'm an old school rock and roller. Floyd, Zeppelin, The Who, Dobbie Brothers etc. But I tell ya. I felt like a kid again. Mainly cause I was with my Daughter and SO many kids her age in attendance. And it was a really good concert. It was fun!

You give me hope. I'm taking my daughter to her first concert in a couple of weeks, maybe I won't be the only middle aged dude at Melanie Martinez.

Never heard of her. Yeah, you'll have a scattered support group! And good on ya for Daddy-Daughter time. She'll remember this for the rest of her life. I've taken mine to Cheap Trick, Foreigner, KISS, Def Leppard, Taylor Swift and a local all girls AC/DC cover band. We had tickets to Kool and the Gang, but there was a horrific accident on the way there that blocked access completely. I taught her how to drum when she was 8. She's still my little girl at 22!!

You'll have a great time....
