My black storm that I've had for 4 months has started to get these brownish, reddish colored spots on its gills over the past month. It started on the right side but has a similar spot on the left side now. It almost looks stringy. Not very long but protrudes outside the gill. Parameters are showing good. No elevated levels. All other tank mates are okay. ( Orange storm, bangaii cardinal, clown goby, and twin spot goby) It has been eating fine and is swimming and acting normal. I've read about over breeding with these guys can cause gill issues and deformities. I'm just trying to narrow it down before I overthink it. Thanks.

This is a double post, probably best to work on the one over in the fish disease forum....

Jay
Thanks. Couldn't figure out how to delete or turn off comments after I noticed I posted to the wrong topic. Just wanted to make sure I was getting the right response. I guess I see now it probably didn't matter.
