Hi,

My tank has a problem with to low nutrients, It`s a triton core 7 setup with a large fuge.

I feed 5-6 times a day and dose aminos every day, but still I can’t get to bump my nitrates up.

The tank has gradually gotten worse and worse, It`s more or less impossible to get KNO3 in Norway after Breivik blew up the government building with that stuff.

I did buy 2 x 250ml bottles of Brightwell Neonitro and added it today as the description said and I got an instant improvement on my euphyllia corals with in 1 hour it opened up again. But I used 95ml of the bottle and still it didn`t show on the test. So, I need something stronger and easier to get a hold of.

I can get Haifa Multi-K Reci at a local gardening shop. It doe`s say that its’s Potassium Nitrate but with low sodium content. Can I use this? Or should I try to get something else? I need to go to a lab or something to get it here in Norway so won’t be easy.

Feed reef roids 3X per week and assure water current isn't blasting these guys. Do not chase parameters which will destabilize their environment.
If you must increase levels, do it slow and gradually

Tank look pretty good to me.

You might try a more aggressive harvesting of macros in the refugium.

If you still must dose nitrate try calcium nitrate.

+1 . Increasing nutrient import is only one way to increase phosphate/nitrate level. Decreasing export is another. Turn skimmer off for a portion of the day, reduce volume of Chaeto, or decrease the photoperiod of your refugium. If it were me, I'd use it as an excuse to add more fish.
