How thick is the glass what is the bottom PVC and glass or PVC how thick?

The glass is 7/8” so it is just shy of an inch. The bottom is a combo of 1” PVC and glass layered. All of the bracing is reinforced steel top, bottom, sides. Planet Aquariums is known for building amazing tanks but with large glass tanks nobody builds stronger and more reliable ones than them. On small tanks their are several great builders than can compete and have different qualities but above 500 gallons none can.

Here come some
Updates.

Ordered two more Neptune Systems WAV kits. Also ordered from tank-depot.com two 265 gallon vertical water tanks for RODI and Salt mixing. Also had to order Cepex ball valves for the tank... let’s just say they are a lot more expensive than I thought they’d be. We hooked up the RODI unit to test out the drain and with 80+ PSI and 1,000 gpd unit my drain couldn’t keep up... so plumbers are coming out today to help check out the line and see if there is a collapsed line Or blockage. We also completed the stairway bracing and got the rock sump painted and dry fit into its future resting place. Drywall Paul should be out today to clean up the drywall.

To tag team the work with Electrician Eddie and Plumber Peter?

I was mapping out my plumbing and was blown away by the cost of all the valves I wanted for a 90 gallon, I couldn't imagine what yours came out to.

Yeah Dave the Plumber was out today and Electrician Jason should be out Monday.

Just amazing...cannot wait to see it at completion and full of happy inhabitants!!!
Thanks Swoody! I’m certainly ready to see it at completion as well!

This just keeps getting better and better

Thanks Chef!

Update: I got a bit intoxicated watching OU football this weekend and apparently ordered three more WAV pump kits and extra powerheads... Also ordered a Neptune Systems PAR meter because I figured it would be interesting to monitor the par with the tank being 36” tall...

Maybe I missed it, but what types of fish are you stocking this with?

Thanks Bolt! I havnt added a stocking list yet. But i’ve Been into Nano tanks for many years and always had many different small gobies and blennies.... i’d Expect to end up with quite a few of those... also the basic tangs and going to try several genicanthus angelfish species. Will also end up with a decent sized school of blue/green chromis as well because I think they are the most underrated fish commonly in our hobby. Also a pair of Crosshatch triggers added last. I’ll do many wrasses including sand dwellers hence the only reason why i’m not going bare bottom and already have ordered/received 500lbs of Aragonite live sand.... Once the tank has been going for more than a month or two is when i’ll add more difficult fish to keep and still researching the idea of a Quoyi parrotfish knowing I’ll have a fair amount of cleaner shrimp and corals..

Just a note: I already have a few corals and fish from my previous Systems so i’m going to incorporate all of them. Here’s a quick fish list of what I already have for this tank all swimming around waiting for this tank to be finished.
*Three bondable nocturnis “circus” gobies
4 Regal tangs
5 yellow tangs
1 purple
1 gem
1 sailfin
1 foxface lo
Two pairs of clowns
Scopas
Chevron
Pair of mandarins

Update,
Electricians are coming back out today because they installed GFCI outlets and breakers and we need them all removed.. But here are some current pics. Drywall Paul is coming back tomorrow to clean up the walls and patch from the electricians access points.

Bill of Custom Reef Creations and I got to work on the aquascape base rocks last night... finishing the rest today. We also got the rock sump in place and the frag tank in position. Once we get the water storage tanks and MRC commercial skimmer we’ll have that in place alongside the frag tank.
