Hey all!
I've been treating my tank with no3po4x for about 18 months now. I'm very familiar with the bacterial snot that develops on everything. It doesn't do anything to equipment or whatnot, just makes the sump slippery. My biggest problem is that I manually dose it every few days. I need to get it set up on a doser.

What do you guys who use carbon dosing do to manage the colony growth?

Would an increased skimmer size help it?

I just reduce the dosage thats all you can really do

If you have the slimy stuff (bacteria) then that means that you should have reduced it to half whatever amount you were dosing when that began. And yes a more powerful skimmer would help.
