No real room to maintain quarantine tank....

One good option is to only buy "pre-quarantined " fish from a reliable vendor. Another option is to stick with tank raised fish direct from the breeder, where the fish have not been later "tanked" with wild caught fish before you purchase them.

I have a 20 gallon that sits in my garage with a stand. Every other year i qt a couple fish in it. You can keep a small sponge in the sump and you got a tank ready to go just need an ammonia reader and water change Every other day.

I move it in my house for a month or two is all i can convince my girlfriend. I bought it for like 30 bucks online. I also have a 10 gallon coral qt tank that i hide next to my 90 gallon. 800 sq foot house.

If you really can't qt then maybe someone else near you can do it for you. Look for a local reef club around you or make a post on here

I never quarantined anything in 20+ years, it's not a must to be successful.

I have a 40g and a cheap light and real cheapUV/filter combo … it takes op 2sq ft of garage floor but you can empty, flip it sideways and store all the stuff in it while idle..

IMO some species just don’t quarantine well, and I also guess maybe 50% of reefers do it…is there a survey somewhere?
My LFS offers to order fish and quarantine….which I think is smart and good customer service

Simple solution: buy quarantined stock only. Check out Dr. Reefs Quarantined Fish. You need patience though, the process takes about 4-6 weeks. I have a shipment coming next week.

You can easily quarantine in a brute trash can with a heater, aerator and powerhead. Keep it cheap and keep it simple.

As others have said, buying from reputable vendors is a great way to reduce the risk, although it is still not 100% foolproof. I also don't have the space to maintain a QT, but my tank is only 20g. I added almost all of my livestock at the same time and from the same vendor who I consider reputable.
