I have had 2 Nicrew 100W LED lights for over 3 years and have been very happy with them. No problems.
About two months ago the right sided light started automatically switching its blue and white light settings. Sometimes once or twice.. sometimes like crazy (strobe effect). See attached video. I ordered a new light from Amazon and swapped the left and right lights bc my SPS is on right side of tank. Shortly after the swap the problem stopped. I returned the new light. All good..
About 3 weeks ago the “good” light I swapped over to the right side started doing the same thing. I tried a different timer and directly plugged light into outlet. Same issues. Strangely, I noticed that the light is more stable when the AC is running continuously in the room. I thought maybe the fan on light isn’t running.. but it is. I thought room temperature may be contributing so I put a temp gauge in the room and noticed that when the AC isn’t running and the room is the same temp as when it is running, the light is bad. Ugh!
I haven’t seen anything about this problem. Does anyone out there have any ideas? Thanks!
