Don’t hesitate to buy from Bob, I have to say he is the best person/place I have purchased so far in the last 5 years in this hobby. The frags are huge and healthy and the best part is he’ll take care of you if something is wrong!

Hi Mark,

Congratulations!

Yew, I use them and love them. However due to low canopy height (10") and bracing, I can't use them on the DT since they need to be higher off the water. I use GHL Mitras 7206 on the tank.

I do use two 50" Photon Pros on my frag tub. Lumen and coral growth for the $ is great. They grow corals like weeds. I pretty much follow Therman's strategy except I have mine higher (21" above 13" deep tub) but I think I have tighter spacing between lights with a slightly longer photoperiod (12 hours). I get 400 at edges and 550+ in center. Link to Theman's method. Start with post #778. Lots of great detail & tips: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/t...rting-to-enjoy-this-tank-again.467115/page-39

Fell free to reach out with any more questions.

Cheers, Bob

I saw your post on Therman's thread. I'm not sure how Tim will answer but I run all channels at 100% and I have no observable algae other than coralline. I firmly believe that "red, green and white light cause algae" is an old wives' tale.

Thanks for the reply! I'm down to give it a shot and see how it goes. I'm flying blind with these bad boys lol

See what Tim says first. My guess is he'll say about what I said.

Be sure to acclimate your corals. Ideally, use a PAR meter to be sure.
I'll have to see about renting one. Mainly euphyllia/zoas in my current setup so they'd be going down to the the bottom for a bit anyway. Will probably start off a bit higher off the top to begin with to be safe. especially if i cant get my hands on a PAR meter
