I trained my spotted mandarin to frozen by feeding bloodworms and then introducing mysis nd brine

They’ll eat tiny fish pellets as well. Mine ate Ocean Nutrition for years. The pellets that made it to
the bottom and rolled around on my barebottom tank were consumed.
