in my experience if the temp of the new h2o is above 70 degrees just give it a half hour/or when the water is back to crystal clear your good to go

I agree with condor,when your newly mixed water becomes clear again,I myself do allow my water to mix overnight but thats because my water temp fresh from the RODI unit is only in the upper 60's so I give it time to heat.

12 to 24 hours for me. i usually throw the salt in my brute can in the evening, plug in the heater, then let stew till the next day. this is just the way i've always done it. i like to have saltwater ready to go at all times just in case of an emergency.

I said 3-4 years because I don't do water changes.
