This is a very small unit. if your number are 100% accurate, you are running too much water through the unit. The max the unit can kill algae at is 37 gph.
The picture is very blue, do you have sand in tank? Do you have live rock in system. What is your primary biological filter? How long has this tank been set up ?
The unit is suitable for 50 gallons, this is my 30 gallon tank so it should be plenty effective. I have live sand and rock. Am using bio brick in my filter. Tank completed cycle about 3 weeks ago. Tank has been set up a couple of months

Eh... That 50 gallon number is kinda pushing it. It should do your 30g ok. I used it in a 30g water box aio. Also it takes time, not all blooms will clear in 24 hours. After about 3 days or so, I'd worry.

Eh... That 50 gallon number is kinda pushing it. It should do your 30g ok. I used it in a 30g water box aio. Also it takes time, not all blooms will clear in 24 hours. After about 3 days or so, I'd worry.
Why would a 50 gallon be pushing it? And the initial purpose of the post is just assuring the UV Sterilizer is working properly and if so, about how long should it take to clear up?… will see what happens the next few days
