Hi there, brand new to this site. I've been getting all my info from here and yes very helpful. Thank you to all of you for the very informative information.
I have a 15 gallon flex by fluval laying around. I ripped out the baffle filter bs stuff and made more room. I currently have a an aquaclear 50 with a sponge, some ac carbon, fluval gfo, and some bio media. I have some artifical white sand and some south sea base rock. The levels seem to be ok. Been using the api strips for testing. Ph 8.0, nitrate 0, nitrite 0, general hardness is about 180-240. Been cycling for about 2 weeks now with stability. salinity is 1.024. Would it be ok for some small clownfish now? Like a pair? Temp is 73-79.

take a water sample to a trusted LFS that does Not use Api kits and have them test water for you to confirm levels and to compare with your strips which often produce false readings. Nothing worse than introducing fish to a tank that is not ready due to false readings. Generally when nitrate is 20 or below and ammonia is zero for a steady 5 days, you can safely add fish

Greeting and thanks for jumping in with us

confirming the above Vetteguy and Styx comments - never used API but only heard not to use them - would hate to risk the life of a clown on them - try a LFS, watch the test, and test again
also look on the self for other brands

and thanks for going slow - it will pay off

Welcome Aboard Hasan Minhaj GIF by Patriot Act

I recommend the following:
1. Take a sample of your water to the LFS for status
2. Get better testing stuff. (Hanna Checkers, Red Sea Pro Kits, Sailfert, and ICP test if you want real accuracy)
3. DO NOT RUSH ANYTHING. Nothing in this hobby happens quickly.
