So, nice long weekend to put everything together and start cycling. Nope. Top of cabinet came damaged. New one will be here Tuesday.
When I went to register the tank, said the serial number was no good. Seems weird. Then I just saw it went on sale on Bulk Reef Supply. Reached out to them for an adjustment. Wonder if they will.
Red Sea send out a new top to the cabinet, BRS gave me reward points to make up for the sale price, and now it is all together and filled with tap water and leak testing.

I am calling the tank cycled. Ammonia and Nitrites went to 0, I added more ammonia and now ammonia 0, Nitrites 0.25, Nitrate 10. My question is this, how often should I dose with ammonia while waiting for new fish to come out of quarantine? Or, since there is nothing in the tank yet, do I even need to quarantine?
Made my first sorta blunder today. Yesterday went to not so local FS because I was in the area and picked up a tiger conch to clean the sand bed as I was getting a bunch of detritus build up. After getting home a reading figured I needed one more, so I went LFS and asked for another and they gave me a similar looking conch. I figured no big deal. Put him in a starting roaming all over the tank very quickly. That something was weird when my sand shifting starfish climbed the glass for the first time ever. Some Google searches later found out my LFS sold me a Florida Crown Conch. Quite the predator. Took him out and put him in the sump for now.
