I recently got a grant to establish a coral reef aquarium at my college. I have a lot of past experience, but have been out of the field for about 15 years.

I have decided to go with :

Red Sea MAX S 650
600W Titanium Aquarium Heater w/ Helio Controller
Akula UKS-180 Protein Skimmer - Ultra Reef
ReefWave 25 Pump with Controller (1980 GPH) - RedSea

The tank will be primarily a LPS/SPS tank.

Check out innovative marine and waterbox. They have some nice aquariums. I would also look at aquariums with aluminum stands. Your going to have spills etc. Might as well be prepared properly for longevity and rigidity
You may have to move it at some time.

There are a few other brands that are real nice that others can comment on.

Good luck

Ok, I have looked into Waterbox and really like their INFINIA Reef 190.5 with RADION XR15 G6 BLUE & RMS (3), Return Pump: Sicce SDC 9.0 Auto Top-Off: XP Aqua Duetto2.

This setup comes in under budget.

Any thoughts, suggestions?
