I bought all new filters for my spectrapure maxcap
90. (Sediment , carbon, new membrane, and 2 new di’s)
First I put sediment and carbon in, and ran for a half hour. Next the membrane, and ran a half hour, lastly two di’s, one at time and ran a half hour each before making new water.
once done, I made about 50 gallons for a water change. I checked the tds at that points, last one from Di’s shower 0, however my first one, incoming tap is 195, after membrane 12. That’s only a 94 percent rejection rate. The membrane I bought is the filmtec 100 gps, which I believe should have a 98 percent rejection rate at 50 psi (my gauge shows 70 psi)
any clue what I can look for? In the past when I’ve changed membrane, I’ve used the spectrapure ones, and would get 98-99 percent rejection. I believe the town is using different chemicals in the water supply now too.
thank you
