Hello I just scooped up a new randalls shrimp from a LFS and have him floating in a plastic tubberware in his original water. what would be your strategy to get him from 32 ppt to my tanks 34 ppt and how long would you take? I think I will start adding small amounts of tank water every 30 minutes or so

Edit: My display is actually at 34 ppt right now on the dot.

I heard shrimp are more sensitive and it took me like a month to finally get a randalls shrimp for my Hi Fin Goby so I guess I am the paranoid type right now lol.
I would hate to lose him!
I guess 2 ppt salinity isn't that big a jump but I'll still add water a couple times for an hour or so and then dump him.

To go with a quote from Jay Hemdal:
I try to match salinity to within 2 ppt before acclimating invertebrates when I can.
Jay
So, yeah, you’re probably fine to just assume it’s close enough.

Temperature acclimate, drop in, and enjoy as he disappears for weeks on end.
lol I just enjoy seeing the sand accumulate in places and burrows appear around the tank. I have a tiger pistol and ywg in a fluval 13.5.

This guy is for my 22.5 gallon cube and I am trying to pair up a couple randalls shrimps and hi fin gobies in one burrow.

Let's see if my box can hold him or if he can slip through the slits.
