I returned my digital 1000x microscope and got an old school 2000x. Even though I’m 99% sure I have amphidinium dinos (recede into the sand not the water column when lights are off, and dont really respond at all the water column treatments like H202, or dr time refresh/waste away or UV) the images are still not really as clear as I’ve seen with other positive IDs.

I’ve already dropped a second dose of Dino X as a last resort, but at this point I’d rather be 100% sure im battling the right thing.

below are the best pictures I could get eith the old scope:
First photo is on grains of sand for size comparison.
new one coming tonight.

If it walks like an amphidinium and talks like an amphidinium….

I am very happy to say, even though i can still see some brown on my sand with the naked eye, that these photos where more difficult to get than i thought they would be. Following dose 2 of dino x they seem to be thinning out!

What brand/model of microscope did you use?
100X-2000X Microscopes for Kids Students Adults, Powerful Biological Microscopes for School Laboratory Home Education, with Microscope Slides Set, Phone Adapter https://a.co/d/cCokvmT

A little pricey but worth it. I use it for a lot more now even though dinos are gone.
