hey everyone so i have a 220 gallon penninsula that i took to my parents house before deployment during deployment i decided its way to hard to have a 220 gallon in an apartment and to keep moving so i decided to get something smaller so here is my new 50 gal build its gonna be a slower one considering i wont be home for 2 more months but figured wed get it going and see what kind of advice everyone has
Equipment: mp10 powerhead, AI vega light custom 4 chamber glass sump, bubble magus skimmer jebao controllable return pump thats what i have so far
Future equipment: 4 part dosing pump (need some input on dosing never tried it before), possible AI prime for a sump light would like to have it all matching i know a lil expensive and over kill for a sump light, looking into controllers, possibly a jbj ato, and a reactor
Looking for input:
aquascape- what do you guys find best for scaping a cube (my first cube) shelf tonga or lace
Dosing- never dosed before looking into some sps so of course calc and alk but other input on that
ATO- what brands is everyone liking?
Controllers- of course everyone would love an apex but my bank account doesnt really love apex haha
and reactors- something clean that i can run from another cabinet into the stand and still look clean
look forward to everyones inputs a few starter pics having a few issues uploading pictures so will do them tomorrow on my phone

Welcome to the community. Thank you for your service to our country. Sounds like a awesome setup you're downsizing from. Nice start on equipment we have some of the same brands n love it. I've had good luck with rkl n now a rkl plus for controller got it used on here for 150 works on a budget good. I also suggest tunze ato lots use the jbj but I've seen a lot of reports of fires caused by them. I'm not to dosing yet so not much help there sorry lol. I love our brs dual reactor also we have the two little fishes 150 as well there good reactors on a budget.
