Setting up a new Cade 1500 aquarium. Floor is vinyl planks on concrete. Do I need to put anything between the feet and the vinyl? If so, what are the best options?
should I cut holes in the vinyl so the feet sit directly on the concrete?
I’ve considered putting ceramic tile, plywood and 2x4’s under each of the feet to lesson the weight being placed in such a small area due to the feet.
Is any of this necessary?

When I redid the floor in my office (now the fish room), we put vinyl planks directly down on concrete and then the tank straight on the planks. Almost 2 years in - no issues so far (Red Sea 750XXL, 200 gallons).

i would definitely put something under the leveling feet. thats a lot of weight in a concentrated area.
my stand with levelers is on hardwood floor and i cut a piece of 3/4 plywood same size as stand and stained it same color as floor.

Depends on how many feet there are. On mine there's something like 24+ feet.

There are 8 feet. What is the max weight a 1” sheet of plywood can handle without being crushed. Is it stronger than a 2x4?
It may still leave an indentation (but I'm not 100%). My flooring is 1/8"-3/16" thick plus the antibacteria padding on the bottom. I just shone a light under my tank and there's no indentations in the flooring from the feet (they're about 3/4" in diameter).

I have the cade 1800 peninsula on vinyl plank flooring that sits on concrete and you won't have any issues with it sitting on the vinyl. I build homes for a living so i made sure there wasn't gonna be an issue.

There should be no issues for the Tank and stand setting up on vinyl over concrete with leveling feet.

If you're worried it may leave a slight indent in the vinyl when removed, you can put down a piece of 1/8" hardboard but I see that as unnecessary.
