Okay, biocube satisfied for about 9 months, time to go bigger. Cube is running great, and I am ready to take it to the next level. Putting this new tank in my bar/game room with plans to turn current laundry room to mixing station for auto water changes. My current plans for equipment listed below. Tell me what I am doing wrong and where I might improve, budget isn't necessarily an issue, but I don't overspend for no reason either.

Return Pumps: 2 Jaebo MDP 6500
Waver Makers: 2 Jaebo Gyre MCP 120s
Skimmer: Need Advice on this, was thinking Nyos 160
Heaters: 2 300wt bis titanium with ink bird
Lights: Reefbreeders Photon 50
Sand: Special Grade about 2in
Marco Rock custom made shelf scape
Have a Chiros Dosing setup that I honestly love so keeping that

Tell me what I am missing and any suggestions on changes to planned set up. Looking forward to posting progress.

Thanks for the reply!

New tank will ship out tom, probably a few days before it arrives. The video was my lil biocube I have now. I will definitely be posting pics of project along the way. The plan is to place the tank between the two pillars. Ripping those tables out and redoing the wood around pillars to a nice, stained wood. Laundry room is the 2 white doors behind, moving that upstairs and putting my mixing station there. It's a drop ceiling, so planning on running plumbing up and over to fish room. Plan is still very fluid.

Proclear indicates in one place their system is rated for 600gph but then on the spec sheet it shows my 200 pen is rated at 1400 gph. Which is accurate? Surely the 1400 right? Trying figure out how big of a return pump I will need. Only doing one pump plumbed now but will have back up on hand ready to swap. Any clarification on the flow rate would be helpful.

Sand, wavemakers, pumps, rocks all delivered. Tank is in transit expected delivery next week.

I got time to work on scape today. Not sure this is what it ends up being, but a start. Any tips on anything you see wrong will be appreciated. I used the brs glue amd fast set to build, then the marco morter on all joints. These separate pieces and will connect with pieces in tank when it arrives. These things are built like brick **** houses, didn't skimp on glue or morter. I also have about 25 pounds of live rock in biocube I will transfer.

This is my first real attempt at a scape. I didn't glue or morter the scape in biocube and immediately regretted it. Things have shifted over time and I learned my lesson on that. I also made sure to keep plenty of room between glass and rock, at least 4 inches of space on each side for easier cleaning.

Eagerly awaiting the tank arrival.

Nicely done. My only suggestion is to add additional hiding places for the fish to hide at night. Here are some ideas

This will be an SPS dominant tank so I need the free space on top. There are numerous hiding spots that you cannot see.

No, I meant on my scape. You think more caves and hiding spots lower in water column or higher?

Try incorporating both high and low. I would build up the middle section plus you have a lot more room on the right to make adjustments. It really is looking good thus far. Keep tinkering:)

Tank arrived with no issues. Had to wait on moving company to move it in. Finally got it placed, posts still need to be stripped completely then I will stain them.

This floor is not the most level, was a bit of a ***** to get the stand and tank leveled. Scored 2 big bruises and some very sore ribs from laying on the concrete leveling this thing.

Once we were level, got lights put in sump area so I can see what I'm doing. I will plumb today and figure out my main power situation. Need to find a way to hide this cord going up to outlet...or add outlet on bottom of post. It's ugly and I am in the meticulous category.

Photon v2 50 came in, good looking light that will look good hanging from beam over tank. Still tweaking rock scape, but I like what I have so far and not much more to add.

Stay tuned

Plumbing complete. Return pump installed. Rock scape in, more to tinker and add on it.
