I have a brand new BK200 RD3 skimmer. I bought this several years ago for a project tank that never got setup

The skimmer has 2 ports at the bottom of the body for the output of the pump. During shipping one of the outlet pipes cracked the body. This fortunately is the port least likely to be used because it makes the footprint much larger based on the orientation of the wedge pipe. I used a thin piece of acrylic to weld it over the output hole. This doesn't effect the performance of the skimmer.

Outside of that it's brand new never been installed. I have the original box to ship it in.

This skimmer is $1600 new.

I'd ike to get $1200 shipped.

geez, can someone explain to me why is this costs $1600 new vs something similar at around $500?
These are expensive yes but there is nothing similar build or quality wise for $500.
These things are built to last a long time.
Hand built, PVC and acrylic. The pump has all titanium parts. Even the screws on the skimmer body are titanium.

Got you, was just curious the justification for that price.

These skimmers are literally the king of bubbles. I've used alpha, ATB, Hydor, Euro reef. All are good but as far as performance none compare. This skimmer will actually raise ph significantly when first hooked up. But be careful this beauty will strip your water fast if you're not carefull.

Great Skimmer!!

These are not external skimmers.

They make external versions but you generally need to order it from Germany.
