Hey, I’m brand new at this and i have a little five gallon tank that i have recently put some new coral into. I’m mostly worried about the palytoxin issue and if what I have are Poisonous. If i could get some help identifying what I have that would be much appreciated and if you have a good suggestion on a coral that maybe won’t kill me from toxins I would also appreciate that. I know there is a lot of misinformation about Palytoxin, but the guy at the store didn’t mention anything about it. I actually read it online and now

Palys have a naturally occurring toxin known as palytoxin. Yes, it can cause reactions or even death....in very extreme cases. I have palys in my tank. Zero concern.
Palytoxin typically is an issue when someone gets stung in an area with an open cut or broken skin. Palytoxin can also be released when people "boil" their rock with Palys on it.
So basically, don't boil your Palys, and wear gloves when handling them. When adding or removing them from the tank, you can also wear eye and face protection as well. If they are in the water, you should be safe.
