NEW 32g biocube Media rack ADVICE NEEDED

currently cycling my 32g biocube with dry rock and live sand with added biospira to speed the process up alittle i run lights 5h white 4h blue 500gph wave maker to move water. i have a media rack that needs to filled up i know the top of the rack requires Filter floss and i was told a decent activated carbon hopefully yall can give me some advice on what to stock in the rack thanks.

how long would you say i need to cycle before adding CUC / fish maybe i know to test ammonia / nitrates / nitrites first and get that to 0

You should add CUC when algae becomes present in the tank and fish should he added when the cycle is completely finished and 0 ammonia is present

BRS and Marine depot sells the media Basket pack. Contains a sponge, carbon and Phos sponge for total filtration for basket

Looks like you are off to a good start. Depending on your tank's bioload and "good" bacteria growth rate you may not need to add anything else to your media basket; a lot of nice nanos with just floss and carbon. Test regularly and if you detect any water parameter problems that is the time to consider adding others types of media IMHO.

sweet! the rock isnt the best quality but i guess itll get the rock done got about 30 lbs in there and 20lbs of sand got a tunze 9004 skimmer ready to go aswell so should be good

There is big differences in carbon quality. Cheap carbon can kill fish. For media basket I have the inTank one on my biocube, it’s great. Wait a bit for carbon and stuff, let your tank show you it needs it before adding stuff. (High nitrate)

Yea they(sponges) are fine. I wouldn’t use the green(phosphate) cube yet until you have phosphates above .1ppm.
