I have these all over my sandbed, they are long green strands with a small piece of white/clear coming out the top. I pulled one out and will attach pics but can’t tell if it’s just attached to the sand or it’s own shell type thing, I think it might be it’s own shell because it looks like it’s coming right out of the middle. They don’t retract or anything with I touch it. Any help please

Possible but from all the pictures I can find wire algae looks similar to green hair, this isn’t in big clumps it’s just random strands all over the sand

Agree with comment. Pics are best in water under white lighting. Impossible to determine anything on a marbled countertop ( we all learn to do pics in time- Took me a couple of years )

Agree with comment. Pics are best in water under white lighting. Impossible to determine anything on a marbled countertop ( we all learn to do pics in time- Took me a couple of years )

Reminds me of bryopsis growing in my Sand bed. Seems wiry at first then starts looking bushy.

The first pic looks kinda like a spaghetti worm tentacle
I got some pics of it here, you can see the clear part coming out of the top and how the rest is green
