It does not happen all of the time, but every once in a while my WAV runs in reverse. It makes a buzzing sound when it does so. Here is a video and a screenshot of my settings. Any ideas why and how to stop it?

I had this issue with some Hydor Koralia's, not sure if it would be related but if the impeller is damaged or in my case I used vinegar to clean them it caused the magnet to swell creating the grinding noise. Not sure how it affected the polarity of the magnet but I believe it too was the cause for mine running in reverse. Lucky for me I learned on some cheap powerheads and Hydor gave me brand new ones as a replacement even though it was 100% my fault.

Long story short, check for damage and hopefully you are using citric acid for cleaning.

I will check for damage, but the entire system is a month old, so there is zero coraline or other algae. It has never been cleaned since there is nothing yet to clean!

It is still cycling.

Can you intentionally run a WAV in reverse? For example... To create a push/pull circular thing in a peninsula tank?
