So after drilling and moving my tank…it looks like there’s a chip in the corner of the glass that I just noticed. Must have happened while moving. I know everyone is going to say to play it safe, but to me it does look superficial. What do you guys think?

Is it isolated to one of the end panels? If so, measure it, including the thickness. Get a price from a locally owned glass shop, you'll need the glass edges beveled. Then decide if it's worth a DIY Repair. BTW, noticed you are in California, have you checked CDA Aquariums. If it's possible to have Earthquake proof Aquariums, they build them.

they build them.
They could probably drill it for you too

Dang, not cheap are they

Vintage Reefer has a hookup on a Cadlights tank and stand bundle. It's like $1500 on Ebay, he has a promo code for less I think.

Does SCA still sell tanks? Dunno, those used to be the good cheap option for glass

Glass Cages has went high end, with new owner. Check them out, I would

According to their website, the corners are cut at a 45 degree angle. That will be tough to match.

It’s a UNS 90p, 44 gallons rimless. Really bummed about it. Only reason why I had to move it is because my girlfriend broke up with me.

extra sucks because UNS tanks are *chefs kiss*

I wouldn't throw it away, but I wouldn't fill it with water either. Have you considered using it as a terrarium? A tank that size would be perfect for something like a crocodile skink.

Well I was able to negotiate about $75 off of a new one so it’s not all bad. Just sucks that I’m going to have to drill it again and go through that whole ordeal again. My neighbors will be thrilled. Anyone ever notice how loud and obnoxious it is to drill a tank? Takes forever and sounds adjacent to a jack hammer

Superficial and too close to edge and seam. Now a reptile tank, sorry to say
