Tank has been running for about 6 months now and finally need to get lightning figured out. Dimensions are 60"Lx24"Dx20"T. It's gonna be pretty much all sps. Right now considering (3) reefi unos. Anybody have other suggestions I should consider? I know nothing will be cheap. Not interested in radions. Used them before and bad experiences.

5 Chinese black box and 3 T5’s was $800 CDN.
5 years running strong, grow anything.
Doesn’t HAVE to be expensive!

I have 3 reefs unos on my mixed reef in a 125 gallon 6 foot tank. I have a bunch of hard and plating corals and light intensity is more than adequate. But… If I was doing all sps, I’d do 6 unos staggered and pouting at slight angles to be honest. 3 will work but I def have shading. The output power and color is insane but because the light clusters are tight, I notice shading.

The big green organisms are anemones or leathers? Very cool looking. :)

That is a massive neon leather. Started as a frag maybe 6 or 7 years ago. Might as well be a carpet anemone though, my clowns host in it despite multiple large bubble tips! I like big corals, so I rarely frag and if I do it’s just a little piece here or there. I’m also lucky that the neon leather in question was one of the few corals that survived my major crash (copper/electric intrusion) 2 years ago. It retracted and pretty much stayed dormant for a year after the crash but it’s finally thriving once more!

Depends on your "color" preference? I'm a huge fan of Quanta lights, I think a mix of Atlas (two of them) and a couple Helix bars would cover your tank nicely. If you wanted a sleeker look, then go with all Helix bars and mix the color/spectrum you like. Quanta Lights

I would combine the Reefi UNOs with T5 for an all SPS tank. As stated above, there will be too much shadowing with only 3 units.

I’ve got the halides back up now, but here’s a pic from last year when I was running T5 and Reefi UNOs.

I just bought 2 reefbreeders 24" v2 pro with 4 t5 for my 60x24 tank.
Or you can do 2 rows.

I did 24" so I can space them to get the ends in nicely. Better than the 50s will.

RB's grow anything, prices are heading up so get them while you can. There website has upped them to $680(I think) but can still be bought for $570 on other sites.

I have a 315 gallon predominantly SPS 30 inch deep tank. I am using 6 reefi 2.1 and 4x 54 watt t5 bulbs.
I am happy with this combo. I would not run any LED without t5 supplement.

With peak at 154 watts I get around 350 par in the bottom few inches.
