If its a toadstool it's most likely sloughing. If that's the case it could take a few more days to a little over a week for its polyps to come back out.looks like a toadstool with no PE
No but I did some research and I think is toadstoolWhat are your water parameters? Looks like it is bleaching to me. Do you remember the name of the coral?
Parameters are just fineNo but I did some research and I think is toadstool
Temperature of the water is stable 76°What are your water parameters? Looks like it is bleaching to me. Do you remember the name of the coral?
Thank youToadstool maybe, and yea I can go days looking grumpy and shed its skin and will come back out whenever it pleases, will repeat the shedding process quite often.
No problem. The only thing I see that could be a little off is the temp. I keep mine at 78(sometimes it drops to 77 and raises to 79 due to my heater being cheap I guess…. ) I don’t think 76 degrees is a bad thing just seems a degree or two low compared to mine. I’m a new reefer too so what do I know lolThank you
If toadstool 0 nitrate not fine. You need 5-10ppmTemperature of the water is stable 76°
Salinity is stable 1.026.
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
Ph 8.0 - 8.5

Hi there. I need some help. This is my first coral , I put it in like 2 days ago and I don't know how is it doing. When I brought it it has flowers all around and now I don't know if it's a normal process or what.View attachment 2410909 View attachment 2410910
It’s coming around, remember you took in a stray coral! It’s gotta feel out the new digsHere is an update.
The little one seems to be opening while the other one looks I don't know like bleached or am I wrong?
Or everything is ok?
Glad to hear that thank you so much!Agree with it being a toadstool and that it's just acclimating. It's fairly bulletproof when it comes to corals... it can tolerate different levels of light and flow without demise.
As others have noted, it will take several days to sometimes a week or so to acclimate. And it will also retract at night some days. It may be sloughing and if that's the case, it will look like that for several days to a week. Hard to tell given how recent you added it to your tank.
As for parameters, you may want to bump up nitrates to 10 ppm or so and phosphates to 0.1 ppm. Toadstools prefer nutrient rich water.
They will grow quickly and get rather larger.
From what I can see, you're on the right track. Just give it some time...
