Can someone please help me identify what this is growing on my zoa frag?

Originally I thought is was new zoa polyps. They are similar in shape but much smaller and lack color.

There are also arms branching off the frag plug. Worried what I’m seeing isn’t new growth from the zoas. When the zoas close these little guys stay open and there are more underneath.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

That's a (likely invasive) octocoral of some kind, not a zoanthid - I can't tell the different kinds apart just yet, but some that can look like this include clove polyps, Anthelia, Sarcothelia, etc.

Some of these are fine and easily contained, others are highly invasive to the point of people tearing down their tanks to get rid of them (like Blue Clove Polyps) - to be safe, I'd personally remove them.

The arms branching out may be sponge or possibly algae, but it's hard to say with the blue lighting.
