So lets starts with a small summary leading to the issue. I bought a used apex with no display thinking well I do not really need the display as I can set it up and run it without one and save $100. I then follow the instructions to the basic set up with my EB8, apex, Ethernet cord plugged to a modem. Everything is good, lights are green, next step is to access the web interface through my at home network using my ip address found from the apex flash utilities. This took awhile to get as it was messing up, but eventually I got there. I opened the apex and Ip address in my broswer, entered the username and password and it worked. YAY! it took me along to get here as I suck with computers and things that have to do with them. Anyways the next step was to connect with the fusion by getting the apex token. I followed the instruction enabling the two radio buttons, checked the reboot. Then it just loads and loads and loads until I get the old error as occurred screen. It states "connection was reset". Nothing happens so I reload the web interface through my bookmark and try again. Samething. I saw that there was an apex fusion communication error so I think well look it up on google as there must be some issue with the apex and the internet communcation. I find that it could be the gateway or DNS servers as the DHCP was enabled. So I change the gateway checking the reboot button didnt work as the samething. then DNS servers entering 8.8.8.8 and 4.2.2.1. Nothing same error screen. Then I thought change Aqua controller IP to the Gateway IP. It didnt work and in fact I hard to start over again as the bookmark didnt open up so I had to restart the next day to get back the web interface. Then I tried again this time I didnt check the reboot box. I changed the gateway, changed the DNS and then I get the loading circle and then it goes back to the interface and not the error screen. I unplug the ethernet and aqubus cable, let it load and click F5 and then it loads again and nothing changed as it says apex fusion OK as it did when I first found the interface so I didnt really get anywhere. No token and no fusion so I am asking for help and I do not know what to do. Maybe I did something wrong or messed something up or didnt do something, but all I know is I tried, maybe I need to try again or do something different, and that at least I have the web interface. I need help to try and get the token and connect to fusion.

Here is a screenshot of the current Configuration of my net setup. Notice the gateway ip and aqua controller IP are different. I tried to change those only getting an error connection was reset page and nothing happened and also not checking the reboot box but manually doing it and still nothing as all im a getting apex fusion communication error and apexfusion OK and no token. I know that everytime and click the reboot button it does nothing but give me an error page and when I manually reboot it nothing happens. Im stuck and I need help.

So, I'm not going to be much help at all, but I want to say that when I got my used apex (display included) I had to update the firmware on it before I could connected it to Fusion. The other guys/gals will be much more useful than I here. I suck with computers as well and had to have a coworker come over and do all this for me while explaining it to me like I was a child. That still didn't work and I only comprehended some of it. lol Good luck!
