Hello! I have a 45 gallon aquariam drilled with 2 holes connecting to a Fluval 307 canister filter. I want to remove it and connect a HOB overflow with a sump. Or get it drilled. I need ideas. Pictures posted. Tang police please know The blue tang will go into a bigger tank once it gets big.

If you don’t want to have more drilling done, you could use the two existing holes, one for overflow and one slightly higher for emergency overflow. Then pipe your return line over the back of the tank. I’ve included some pictures of how I did my frag system.

Got it, Thank you!
At the top of the main return I use a “bell” or a reducer and then I add the strainer to it to keep snails and fish out. I get it all at menards as we don’t have the other big box stores but sure lowes and Home Depot would have them too.

Got it. I’ll speak to my LFS that I go to. They can install it for me. I’ll give them your idea. Thank you!
