Hey nano owners! I am wondering, what is your approach to managing fish disease? Do you run a QT tank, or “dump and pray”, or just handle issues as they come? And why did you decide that?

I have a 40g im tank with four fish and for the most part i dump and pray. Really though there is a less of a chance of disaster when you arent adding like 20 fish into a massive tank. I trust my lfs for the most part.

if you want to be extra secure there are some vendors who sell pre-quarantined fish online. Dr reefs for one but id assume there are more too.

Dump and pray. I have 4 in a 20G. I agree with the above it’s less of a risk with less fish being put in, still a possibility though. If you have the room/money to QT then I’d say do it

Hmmm yeah I’m torn. I really don’t want to manage a second tank for 4 fish max…but idk what I’d do if disease did take hold.
