3/14 Added G Bubble tip anemone and small drag of GSP
3/15 Ph 8.6 DKH 10 ( 10 gal water change)
3/16 Ph 8.6 DKH 10

Calc has stayed at abt 490 ppm
Haven’t done anything expect addition of livestock above (3/14)
What’s up with this spike in PH?

What’s up with this spike in PH?
How is the pH measured? How do you know that it is correct?

Hanna Checker pH test, tested 3 times on 3/15 and 3/16. Used API as well, tested at 8.2 (ish). Hanna Checker tests at 8.6.
I would assume it came accurate as possible from factory.
There could be a testing error but let’s assume the number is nearly correct.

The change is a drift upwards not a spike. Lower CO2 in the home could be the reason. Better circulation or aeration of aquarium water couldbe another.

Meaning you did not calibrate it? Assuming calibration is correct on day 1 of a new meter is not generally correct.
