Guh I do wish my tank stood at 40 inches instead of 30.

But then I'd need a step stool to get in it. Win some lose some.

What's that second tank for?
it was originally for the filefish and damsel who are in my sump. then it became an 'off the Timmy menu' tank. now it has the bangaii cardinals, an algae blenny, a dragon wrasse and a royal garamma and all those corals. I'm moving a lot to the frag tank when its up.

a gate isn't very fine but would it work?
A gate is the most fine adjuster for our proposed use.

Tee valves imo are not worth the trouble to set up on a Herbie or Bean animal.

You definitely CAN get the flow right through them, but you have to hit it Dead nuts on.

There's usually a handful of fine adjustments that need made on gates. I'm talking a few degrees turn on the wheel. Those sort of adjustments are not even possible on a tee valve.

Said gate, meant ball valve. Sorry for the confusion.
