My First Saltwater Reef (Waterloo Marine X 110.4)

So, I'm absolutely brand new to saltwater in general, even newer to the reef world. Three months ago, my loving wife bought me a shiny new WaterBox Marine X 110.4, and it has taken over my life! I've come so far over the last three months but, even then, I've barely scratched the surface. This thread will document my progress so far and hopefully be a place where you all can help me learn!

Shipping day! Surprisingly, it too less than ten days from online order to home delivery.

I figured it was about time to invest in a high-quality RO/DI system in the house, only after my 400th purchase of distilled water by the gallon!

Went with a LiquaGen High Flow 5-Stage system. With the booster pump, I quickly have more pure water than I know what to do with.

Two months in, I was finally comfortable enough to transfer my initial livestock from the very large and very established reef at my friend's house into their new home!

So, this is my tank and sump as it's currently set. I think with what I have I'll be good for a while... Suggestions are ALWAYS WELCOME!

Also, I got the results back from my first API Lab test. If anyone has any recommendations based off it, I'm all ears!

It’s about 3 hours from midnight here in my tiny little square of southern GA and I find myself reflecting on the years past. So many changes, yet so many things stay the same. I sit here in front of my reef and watch as the lights fade down to low and I am truly thankful for all the life lessons Reef keeping has taught me. My reminder to myself for the new year is simple: Just as in all of life, nothing happens quickly in reefing.
