My marine puffer had a sore on his mouth and his behavior wasn’t usual he would normally look at us and interact but when he had the sore he would hide behind a rock and wouldn’t come out at all not even to eat. However I did take a visit to a fish store and got him the antibiotic metroplex. The first day of that his behavior was energetic and swimming and splashing around . Now I missed one days dose if the metroplex which hasn’t seem to affect him in behavior but today I have noticed even though the sore by his mouth is beginning to heal more and more , but now his cheek is seeming to grow a light pink patch with some black little dots around it , which was not there before , I want to exactly what is wrong or what I’m not doing correctly so therefore I can finally solve the problems in this tank and get him better before it gets worse . I read everything I can about ichthyophthirius and it may seem like it’s a huge possibility but I can’t say for sure because I also am new at all of this . Please help !

Welcome to the fishy family! What kind of puffer are we talking about?
I've only had brackish green spotted puffers, so I'm not the expert here. Pictures will help... also what are your parameters? Salinity? PH? etc etc
