I have to big green BTA's that need to be re-homed. The BTA's have grown and are now stinging and killing the corals around them. I have two Maroons that host in them right now and I am going to replace the BTA's with mini carpet anemone.

First off anyone local want them?

This awesome, I love seeing this. Can't wait to see your new carpet! Our rainbow bubble tips had to be moved to my wife's tank, they grow fast. Now the lightning maroon has 2, such a gluttonous fish;Hilarious

That's not a big BTA.

2017 November 1 fts.jpg

THIS is a big BTA.

When mine split I had to pull the rock out to get her off - I used alternating ice, gentle prying with a fingernail and holding the rock upside down ABOVE a bucket of water. It took me about 45 minutes so be prepared.

I've had luck with pointing a power head at them and getting them to move that way.

I have seen that method also. I guess it will be time to experiment.

I would try freezing some rodi into ice cubes and also put a powerhead facing the nem to get it to start moving. Then use the ice cubes to rub the foot. it should pop right off. Good luck!

Thank you mam, I will try that.

You coming to the Fl Swap this weekend? If you do you could bring them and trade or give them away.
