What’s up guys,
I’m a brand new reefer with maybe less than a year in the hobby. I focused a bunch on the equipment first & now I’m starting the filling in process, I’m hoping for a LPS heavy reef, probably 75% or higher so I’m looking to see if I’m going down the right path so far. I’ve been helping my buddy that got me in the hobby since he started around a year ago as well so through trial and error I’ve seen what seems to work in general to finally start my tank.
I’m currently running these equipment.
- Red Sea ReefDose 4 with the 4-Part Coral care program
-Red Sea ATO+
-Mp10
- Dual AI Prime lights
- AquaMaxx Skimmer
- 200W Heater
I did my first water test last week & these are the parameters, since then I’ve been dosing accordingly through the redreef app since it makes the calculations for us.
ALK- 7.1
PH - 7.7
Phos- 0.1
Calc- 434
Mag- 1277
Ammo, nitrate, nitrite - 0
Salinity - 35 ppt
After I did the test, I added 2 clown fish, a cleanup crew (Starfish, conch, snails, crabs, cleaner shrimp) , a zoa, & a Firework clove polyp.
