So, I just got my MXM, have it setup to add in my AI hydras and Neros to my Apex.

Ultimately, however, I am thoroughly confused as to the relationship between my original MyAI app, Mobius, and the Apex Fusion apps.

Do they all still work independently, or can I only control them now in Apex? Why do I even need or care about Mobius?

I really like the MyAI app, and want to be able to control the Neros in Apex, but think their interface for controlling them there is terrible (again, compared to MyAI).

I have searched the web and can’t find a foundational understanding of how these 3 apps relate and/or work with one another…‍♂️

you are confused because it is confusing:
The Fusion app is easier/better for some automation but you have to use Mobius initially..

I will attempt a explanation but hopefully someone chimes in with a better one..
You basically have to “attach” your devices to your MXM in the Mobius app first, then go to Fusion and click that “tree” icon and select the gear next to the MXM. Click on your individual devices to configure…usually if you haven’t done so the “wizard” page should appear, from there I’d configure each species of hardware and copy the config to the other pieces (if you have multiple lights, Nero’s, et)

You can use the Fusion now to shut stuff off for emergencies, feeding schedules ey….Not as configurable as the Mobius app but perhaps functionally more useful…

Thanks! So I finally broke down and called AI support...

They said that i should remove the AI devices from the My AI app and just use the Mobius app. From there, once linked with Neptune, the settings in Mobius is just a fallback in case Neptune fails. As once the devices are linked with Neptune, Neptune is the main and only driver for device settings and functionality.

So there you go!
