Hi R2R Team,

I've got a red mushroom that made a pup and although the parent mushroom looks healthy the smaller one looks like it's potentially losing some colour. See attached image. My water parameters are as follows:

Temp: 24.9°C
Salinity: 1.026
pH: 8.1
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 10ppm
Phosphates: 0.03 (Salifert Test Kit)
Alk: 8.1dkh (Salifert Test Kit)
Calc: 420 (Salifert Test Kit)
Mag: 1370 (Salifert Test Kit)

It does sometimes gets covered up by the parent shroom so I wonder if that's affecting it?

Looks like discosoma and agree on blesvhingand some causes will be:
High nitrate
High salinity
Too much light
Lack of nutrients- try feeding it mysis or brine shrimp

My guess at this point would be the nutrients part so I've tried to give it reefroids and will see how it responds. Suggestion on how often I should target feed?

2-3x a week is adequate and meaty foods more effective than roids as they are not really planktonic feeders
