I’m a newbie still figuring it out. I have one side of my tank (36 gallon) that everything grows but the other side, everything dies. I’m confused.

Welcome to the R2R community! I would agree with @vetteguy53081 . Check your flow and lighting. Also parameters? I had a lot of learning to do to get the reef I have where it’s at. Patience is one of your best friends. Also how old is the tank? That can make some difference in terms of biodiversity and maturity. Good luck! And keep asking questions. it could be your flow or lighting. more likely flow. or if you add water or chemicals it might be getting to that side too concentrated.
