I’ve got a Jason Fox Pink Rim encrusting Montipora in the lower park of my tank. It has been growing extremely well, but I’m starting to see some die off. The die off is facing the MP40 powerhead on the side of the tank. The MP40 is in lagoon mode (random flow) with max flow set at 40%. I’m thinking the die off might be from the powerhead, but I thought these guys could handle strong flow. Looking for any ideas everyone might have on this.
This is the Monti. It’s growing away from the flow
This shows relationship to the MP40. About 10” away from it.
This show dying area facing the MP40. I took this picture from right above and to the right of the powerhead.
I’ve got about 8” to the left of the powerhead I could move it so it’s not blowing directly at the Monti. I’m thinking maybe move it 4”. That will still have it providing flow in that back corner of the tank, but not directly at the Monti.
Any suggestions?
